Ask and You Shall Receive: A Sweet Little Love Work for When You Ready
💌 A Little Sweetness Never Hurt Nobody: A Love Work from a Rooted Gem
“I didn’t grow up calling it a ‘love spell.’ Matter fact, I didn’t call it anything at all. I just watched my Grandma whisper over honey jars, keep people’s names folded in her Bible, and pray with her whole chest when she wanted something to shift. I used to think it was just her being her… but now I realize — she was setting intention. With love. With power. With roots.”

Calling In What’s Already Yours
Let’s be real: love work is not about trapping or forcing anything.
It’s about alignment, clarity, and making space for what already belongs to you.
It is an act of trust, not desperation.
It is a reminder that you are worthy of sweet, steady, sacred love — and sometimes Spirit just needs you to say it out loud.
You do not have to belong to a closed tradition to honor your heart’s desires with intention.
You just need honesty, focus, and faith in the energy you are moving.
Try This: A Simple Sweetening Intention Jar
Back then, our ancestors didn’t always have fancy supplies.
Honey was expensive.
Refined sugar was a rare luxury.
So they made do with what they had —
Molasses. Fruit syrup. Sugar water.
And when even that ran low, they used the sweetness of their words and prayers to do the work.
It has always been about the spirit behind it — not the materials.
What You’ll Need:
-
A small jar (baby food jar, mason jar — whatever you’ve got)
-
Honey, molasses, fruit syrup, or sugar water (use what you have)
-
A pen and paper
-
A quiet space where you will not be disturbed
Instructions:
-
Write your name and the person’s name on a small piece of paper.
Cross the names like an X — one horizontally, one vertically. -
Around the names, write your intention in a circle. Words like “mutual respect,” “healthy communication,” “trust,” “clarity,” or “emotional safety.”
-
Fold the paper toward you. (Pulling in energy toward yourself.)
-
Place the paper in the jar. Cover it with your chosen sweetener.
-
Pray, speak, or hum over the jar.
Use words that feel true to you — as if the love you seek is already here.
There is no rush.
There is no "right way" other than sincerity.
Add This: Psalm Power (Optional)
Our ancestors often turned to the Psalms as spoken prayers of strength, love, and protection.
If it feels right to you, you can speak one of these over your jar:
-
Psalm 23 — For grounding your heart in peace and preparing for a love that feels steady and guided.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...” -
Psalm 45 — For drawing in attraction, favor, and right relationship.
“Grace is poured upon your lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever.”
No fancy ceremony needed — just your heart, your voice, and your belief.
Rooted Tip 🌱
"Spirit moves where truth lives. Speak it sweet, but speak it strong."
Let’s Talk About It
Have you ever set an intention for love — even before you had the words for what you were doing?
Maybe you lit a candle. Wrote a letter. Prayed with a trembling heart.
✨ Share your story in the comments (or anonymously if you feel called).
Your experiences might open the door for someone else still finding their voice.
You deserve a love that feels like home.
You deserve a love that honors the work you have done to become who you are.
